Each and every one of our families is special to us, and they are a part of our family at TL's. We have some extra special folks in our lives that we've met through our puppies and through my job as a trainer, since we moved from Indiana in 1996. These folks have all made the transition, both personally and professionally so much easier for us, and of course that made it easier on the dogs too, which we were very thankful for!

The Margrave Family
Thanks to the Margraves' hospitality, their warmth and understanding, I was able to bring my first Texas litter into the world safely. If it wasn't for these wonderful folks we'd never have made the move without losing our sanity. They truly deserve our deepest thanks for allowing me and our dam Mandy, and her litter to stay at their home until we could move into our own. Without their care and devotion to Mandy and the puppies' well-being we'd have lost a couple of those little souls. I thank David Margrave especially, for keeping a cool head when I was losing mine, and for getting Mandy to the hospital for an emergency C-section that saved two puppies' lives, and Mandy's as well. You all are special folks! Thanks to Allison and David and their kids, Meredith and Andrew for making life so much easier and for being such great friends!

Marie and Cindy
Without these two wonderful gals around to help take care of the puppies and the dogs and to keep my house from falling in on top of me and to keep me from losing my sanity, I'd have never made it through a long recovery from cervical fusion surgery right after we moved. These two gals came out and pitched right in...heck they ran the place for awhile! Tom was just starting his new position and I was flat on my back with a bunch of wound up dogs and puppies and a bunch of unpacked boxes and clutter! They came in and took care of the "kids" and cleaned house....heck they even did laundry, and I swear I saw Cindy do a window once! These gals are the best pals I could ever have, and if it wasn't for them, I would have had to be committed! Thanks you two! I love you both dearly and so do allll your kids out here too!

The Davenport Family
Thanks to Jim Davenport's help I've been able to get back into the swing of things somewhat with K9 training here in Texas. Jim is an Austin K9 Officer, and we've become good friends since we met last year. He's a great training partner and one of the best K9 Officers I've had the privilege of working with. He and his wife Laura and their son Cliff have all become good friends of ours. We co-own a few dogs together now, and we're all going to be training together this spring for different things. Feels like we've known these folks our whole lives and those are the best kind of friends to find. Thanks Jim for allowing me the opportunity to work with you now and then, and thanks Laura for being such a good friend to me personally and such a great mom to Cali! And Cliff....you little artist you...just keep drawing me those great pictures of the dogs for my refrigerator okay? You're a major talent kiddo! Thanks for makin us feel so welcome in Texas y'all! Who knows, Jim..... maybe Tom will even become a Cowboys Fan!
