The American Flag

Our Duty to Old Glory
Is it illegal to burn or in any way damage the flag? I say yes.
The Supreme Court, however, ruled that it was not illegal. Some people defend their "right of free speech" to the extreme of forgetting to honor the country and the symbols that give them and jealously protect their right of free speech.
For lack of better arguments, or lack of communicative skills, or for wanting some publicity, some countries and groups inside America, have dared to burn the flag.
If an enemy of our nation wants to mount our rage, then it's understandable, but equally unholy. But when one of us desecrates (or damages, for those with poor communicative skills) the flag…then one wonders what kind of loyalty this person has to America. How can we trust people who do this kind of thing? In my opinion, these people should leave. In my opinion, burning the flag makes these groups lose credibility and support.
The vote is what gives us the power to "protest" what we do not want. There are public hearings for us to voice our opinions. There is the right to strike and protest. There is o right to be violent. And there is the law to ban from official duties those who, after gaining our vote, do not represent it or misuse the power given to them by the people. We do not need to use violence or to dishonor our own land.
What does the constitution say about the flag?
Well…let me tell you…
