Synopsis

    Jubei is a ninja for hire, making a living with his wits and his deadly sword. By chance, he encounters Kagero, a female ninja amongst a group sent to investigate the reports of a deadly plague that has allegedly devastated the countryside.

    By rescuing her from one of the Eight Devils of Kimon, he gains their enmity and finds himself fighting desperately for his life against supernatural beings of great power.

    Finding himself manipulated by a government spy and attracted to the deadly Kagero, Jubei must uncover the devious plot instigated by the Shogun of Dark. To survive, he must once again cross swords with Gemma, an old foe who seems to be immune to death!
