The ScanImage 1470 is a hand-held imager ideally suited for applications requiring two-dimensional symbologies and/or linear bar codes where symbol orientation would be cumbersome with a linear CCED or laser scanner. In addition to popular linear bar codes, the ScaImage 1470 decodes both stacked and matrix 2D symbols including PDF417, DataMatrix, Maxicode and QR code, as well as selected height modulated (postal) codes. The ScanImage 1470 is easy to use, thanks to its laser aiming and framing pattern, users can easily gauge the right distance for a given symbol. With a single position trigger, the LED illuminates the bar code and the laser activates until the symbol is successfully decoded, or until the operator releases the trigger. For applications requiring mixed symbologies on a single label, the 1470 can be configured to read multiple symbols within its field of view, saving time over a traditional CCD scanner where one would be required to scan one symbol after another. Imager configuration and set up is made easy via QuickView software - included with each device. With QuickView, users can upload software updates as well as generate configuration bar codes to clone multiple units. "Image capture" is also available with QuickView should the application require a photo depicting an object, person or signature.
