Miniature Whisky Labels for Strathisla

OUR CUSTOMER: "Strathisla" is a 12 year old pure Highland malt whisky, produced by Chivas Brothers at the Strathisla distillery, the oldest working distillery in the Highlands of Scotland. Chivas Brothers also produce Chivas Regal, the world's leading premium Scotch whisky at this distillery.

OUR TASK: With larger bottles of Strathisla, the design is screen printed directly onto the bottle. With the miniature, however, a more cost effective way of producing the design had to be found.

OUR SOLUTION: It was found to be more economical to have a clear label printed with the design and then applied using label application equipment."The process meant that we didn't have to invest in any new equipment, just a new magic eye to detect the clear labels," explained Graeme Hughes, Packaging Technologist for Chivas Brothers. "We are very pleased. (The designs) came out extremely sharp and clear," Graeme commented.
