LENT AT LAKESHORE - "CHANGE"
Homepage
During Lent this year our study and sermon theme will be change. Change is a constant in life but that does not mean that it is easy, expected, accepted, or understood. In the Bible, change is experienced, viewed and interpreted in a number of ways. The people and communities of the Scripture struggled with change like we do.
Your pastoral staff is working together to lead our consideration of this most important topic. On the five Thursday nights of March they will lead a soup and Bible Study series. On the Sundays leading to Palm Sunday the sermons will be based on biblical stories of change.
The schedule is as follows:
- March 1 "The Impact and Experience of Change - A Panel Discussion" Leader Pastor Hopkins
- March 8 "David, Solomon and Bathsheba-Changes We All Experience" Leader Charlotte Myers
- March 15 "Saul, Ananias, And Damascus - Can Communities Change?" Leader Daniel Pryfolgle
- March 22 "Tamar - When Change Finds You" Leader Allison Tanner
- March 29 "Jeremiah - When There Is Absolutely No Need to Change" Leader - Pastor Hopkins
Please RSVP with the office so the Department of Hospitality and Events will know how much soup to prepare.
