Matt Lanza is running for LA AMS VP or Secretary. Here is his bio:

I'm Matt Lanza, and I'd like to be considered for LA AMS VP or secretary. I recently moved to Southern California from Upstate New York, where I had spent four and a half years in broadcast meteorology in Syracuse and Utica, forecasting lake effect snow and unpleasant cold. I left broadcasting to establish myself in the private sector, and currently serve as an operational meteorologist for Southern California Edison. Prior to all of this, I graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with my B.S. in Meteorology in 2004. While at RU, I served as treasurer of the Meteorology Club, which earned Student Chapter of the Year honors in 2004. Officer or otherwise, I am eager to become involved in the Los Angeles AMS chapter and look forward to helping to maintain a great level of activities.

Paul Roller, also a meteorologist from SC Edison, would like to run for President of the chapter.
