The Truth is a Thing of the Past

Stubborn, heartless, and cold as ice
We move to our selfish goals,
Money and success make us blind
Turning us into simple stones.

Bills and power occupy our minds,
Forcing trust out of our hearts,
We are slaves of hatred and lie
Locked in the maze of the dark.

Candour is as useless as dust
In our world of sham and pride,
The truth is a thing of the past,
Oh humans, open your eyes!
