The Last Page of your Fairy-Tale

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
(3d commandment)

He does not love you any more,
Tears are running down your face,
This is the last page, my dear girl,
Of your magic fairy-tale.

Open your eyes and face the world,
He is not worth all these tears,
He said those sweet, beautiful words
To conceal his endless fears.

Ashamed of his passion from the start,
He hid and locked you alone
In the dark closet of his heart
Treating you like something low.

Being so proud of your pure love,
You believed it would please him
If you told the world he's the one
Whom you had met in your dreams.

Taking it all as an affront,
He abased you day by day,
Making you feel bad of your love,
He forbade to mention his name.

He does not love you any more,
Tears are running down your face,
This is the last page, my dear girl,
Of your magic fairy-tale.
