Homosexuality:
What is up with the people of America? Some say they're sinners and they should not have rights, others say some rights but not marriage, and the some say to give them the rights all other citizens have. I belong to the latter group. The first group, I must say you guys are the most "conservative." You know, Hitler didn't really like gays, either. But, certainly, that first group wouldn't want them dead, right? They just don't need rights. Give me a break. Those of the second category, you hypocrites. I applaud you for being more open-minded then the first and just as ignorant. Now, the word marriage, is the word so sacred? I think not. I view it more as a status. What are people who are legally together by civil unions? Do they say, "Yes, Bob and I are civil unioned," instead of saying they're married? To deny gays rights is persecution. Here are some synonyms for persecution: harass, oppress, torment, victimize, ill treat, crucify, mistreat, abuse, bully, trouble. All those are being done to the gay population. Are they less human than straights? Of course not, then why do people treat them so? I heard a woman say, "it will be a sad day for my son to grow up thinking its ok for two men to marry each other." Well, lady, its a sad day for the boy thinking that it is ok for people to be denied rights. Maybe the United States isn't having a mass genocide of gays or putting them in concentration camps, but the abuse they face now is just as grave. |
