Marie should be age 54 in 1900, born 1846 not age 45.
Marie was living next-door to daughter Margaret (LaFramboise) Casper,
widowed, in Crystal Springs, Kidder County, ND on the 1900 Census.  She
moved in with daughter Jesse and son-in-law William S. Gilman where they
moved to Grant County, she died there in 1914. (Update: Have found no
record of Mary in 1910 Census...she was not living in the household of
William S. GILMAN and dau. Jesse  or with any of her married children.
The latest document she would be found on was her land patent issued in
1908 Stutsman County, ND.  There is no record of her death on file with
the state or in cemetery records of Stutsman County.  Mary may have been
buried on a family homestead where her death was not reported.  My

Grandaughter of Mary claims that Mary was buried in Elgin, Grant County,
ND.

CITY PIONEER PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Funeral services were held this morning at the Catholic church for
Mrs. Julia OLSON, who died Saturday afternoon about 3:30 o'clock at her
home 300 Eighth Street south.  Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Mrs.
OLSON, a pioneer resident  of Bismarck, had been ill since last December,
suffering from gall stones.  Two weeks ago it was thought she was
recovering and a daughter who had come up from Washington to be at her
bedside left for home.  The desceased was 80 years of age, and was born
in Pembina County, in the northeast part of the state.  Her family,
coming into North Dakota from Canada were among the first residents of
the territory.  She had lived in Bismarck forty-six years. Her husband,
Daniel OLSON was a carpenter and he assisted in building some of the
first buildings in Bismarck, including the old Sheridan house.  He died a
few years afer coming to Bismarck.  Mrs Olson was a devout member of the
Catholic church and of a loving despositon.  Survivors included six
children.  They are: Miss Belle OLSON of Bismarck; Miss Della OLSON of
Colbert, Washington; Mrs. E.C. GROGAN of Halkirk, Alberta, Canada: Three
sons: Amos, William and Fred OLSON, of Bismarck.  A step-son, John OLSON,
residing near Bismarck, and a brother and sister in Neche, ND also
survive.  The pallbearers for the funeral were D.J. McGILLIS, Patrick
KELLY, G.C. WACHTER, Anton BEER, George WHITE, and Frank GARNIU.

The surviving brother and sister living in Neche were Joseph LaFramboise
who was married to Mary V. Lucier and Alphonsine (Elsie) LaFramboise
Villeneuve.

(note the obit says she was 80 years old in 1921 giving her a birth year
of 1841....She should have been age 74 born 1847 (1850 Census Pembina, MN
