I remember this light.

The air hums with the music of the universe. As I stand outside of this circle of light, it beckons me to join the others. I step into the light.

Immediately I know the immense feeling of harmony and fellowship. These are my people, my family. We've been here together in the peace.

As I stand surrounded by my people, he approaches. He steps into the light, and without spoken words, acknowledges me. Welcome, brother, I hear in my soul.

How could I have forgotten this feeling? Through all the years of searching, I never knew I was searching for my return to this place.

I suddenly realize that we are no longer on the ground, we have moved on to another place. We are given soft couches to rest upon, nourishing food and drink to sustain us during this journey.

He comes to me, now in his true form. I can hear him inside my head, with soothing words and comfort. We could not bring your mate, he says. She carries in her body your child, the child of the future. She will be protected. She will wait for you to return.

I understand. She is my mate, my touchstone. Those who guide the universe chose her for me. She will wait for me.
