COOF: Las botas...

I suppose the first good news is that I finally managed to buy myself a pair of boots. Lovely things that they are. The second thing is that I think Im getting better... Well I had better be getting better, I dont really have the time to be sick. But I think my coughing has everything to do with yucky stuff from my nose dribbling down my throat. Not that you really wanted to know that.
Ive done some grocery shopping, so I will be eating a decent dinner tonight. I dont know what Im going to do for meat yet. I couldnt find any decent stuff at the supermarket, but dinner will be salad and mashed potato.
I think I might be getting into this eating routine finally... That is a big lunch and not so big dinner.
Anyhow, to the reason for the title of this post. I have figured out why people here can pick me as a foreigner so easily. It isnt the hair, because there are plenty of people around with hair the same colour, or lighter, than mine, it isnt my horrible accent, because I dont have to open my mouth for them to know, it isnt even my height (Im one of the tallest people in this city). It is my eyes. They are blue. No one around here has blue eyes. No one. No one has anything other than those deep, dark brown eyes that most people associate with the Spaniards. It doesnt matter about hair colour, everyone has the same eyes. I do not. It is kind of strange being stared at, Ive been asked once already if I have contacts. Anyhow, that is my only complaint today, oh, that and the fact that the state of the bathroom was annoying me so much this morning that I had to clean the damn thing up, the biggest task was mopping the damn floor because it had about 3 months worth of dirt ground into it. Anyhow, that is all from me for the time being.
