  • (June 20 2005) - I thought that everyone had the new beer schedule from May 9th.
    • However that appears not to be the case !!
    • It was changed when we voted yes, to bringing beer to every game.
    • Please review the beer schedule to ensure that you remember to bring beer on your night.
  • (June 13 2005) - Sutton wins the mid-season tournament
    • Finished with a 3-1 record

* Win 9-0 (Friday night against Circle + Pro Golf)

* Win 15-3 (Saturday morning against Hawks + Primus)

* Loss 12-9 (Saturday afternoon against Coulas Rappt + Shoeless Joes B)

Championship Game - against Coulas Rappt + Shoeless Joes B   Sutton Won 9 - 8 !!!

From Sutton there was Al, Steve, Ron, Andre, and Joey, Kevin (Friday night only) and Danny (Saturday only).

From Fundtrade Dennis & Mike, Junior for the Friday night game.

Dave from either Circle or Pro Golf (not sure which team he came from) for all games.

And from Hanet we had Richard for all Saturday games.

  • (June 7 2005) - Good luck to the seven guys who will represent Sutton at this years mid-season tournament.
  • (June 6 2005) - We have won three games in a row and are two games over .500 both are team records (way to go!!)
  • (May 30 2005) - F.Y.I. as a team we collected $75 for Tyler.
  • (May 24 2005) - Please read, Let's help out if we can...Here is a message from the league
    • Hi everyone, as you may or may not know Kenny Lee(Tugger) a former player in our league and a player on our team passed away last month suddenly in his mid-40's.  It looks like Ken's son Tyler (19) has been left with the burden of paying expenses on his father's behalf.
    • Their league is trying to run a euchre tournament for Tyler to raise funds.  Unfortunately its the same night as the start of our mid-season tournament.
    • So I would ask that each team consider collecting something from each player and then making a donation as a team. I'm sure this young man will need all the support he can get.
  • (May 19 2005) - Please let Brad know by Tuesday if you will be playing in the Mid-Season and or Golf Tournaments.
  • (May 18 2005) - Al hits for the cycle !!!!
  • (May 9 2005) - Every game is now a beer night !!!!
    • After A vote on Monday night, it was decided that we will now bring beer for every game including the 9:30 games. (Please check the main web page for an updated beer schedule)
  • (May 9 2005) - After the vote it was decided that each player will be responsible to bring 15 beers on your beer night.
  • (May 3 2005) - Game 2 Cancelled -- Blame the Rain for this one! The field was flooded.
  • (May 1 2005) - Game 1 Cancelled -- Blame the Town for this one! The lights would not come on.
  • (April 24 2005) - As of 9:25am on Sunday morning it is not currently raining. Therefore practice is on.
  • (April 22 2005) - The Website has been updated with this years schedule and the beer schedule as well.
  • (April 22 2005) - (A message from Brad) Well lads it certainly was an interesting league meeting last night.
    • First up. We are now a 12 team league, Master Mechanic and Crew are no more. The players from those teams who wanted to continue to play have been entered into the draft and were distributed last night. (We didn't get any . We got a new guy, more on that later.)
    • Secondly we now have a Homerun rule.  The new league rules and constitution have been posted to our team web site.  Anyway as you'll see it a 2 plus rule. Which means that at any time one team can only have 2 more home runs than the opposing team during a game. If that 3rd homerun is hit it is counted as a single and base runners only move up one base.
    • 3rd Since we only have 12 teams the schedule is a little different. First of all (Toronto commuters should be happy with this) there are no weekday 6:30 games the first game is at 8 and the other game is at 9:30. As well (Cottage goers will like this, George!) The earliest Sunday games start at 6:30pm. (Make up games may be played at 6:30pm weeknights if needed)
    • 4th The midseason tourney is now a golf tourney as well (details to follow)
    • and finally we needed one player and we drafted 2nd overall. As of this writing I haven't talked to him yet. However his name is Joey Pilkey.
That's it for now hope the weather is good for Sunday !!!!!
  • (March 8 2005) - Well everybody the time has come.
    • We will be having our annual cheque gathering ceremony sometime during the week of the 21st of March. The cost for this year is the same as last year $210 .We'll pick an evening at the Wing Shack and if you could drop off your cheque that would be great. We have a final league meeting on the 31st and if we don't hand in your cheque the league will charge you an extra $10.
    • This year if you could make your cheque's out to: Whitby Men's Slo-pitch League
  • (Feb 3rd. 2005) - It's that time of year again !!!!  We need to know who's coming back to play, and who's moving on.
    •  If you haven't don so alreay please contact me or brad and let us know your plans. We hope everyone is coming back this year again so we can continue to grow our record.
  • (Sept 20th. 2004) - Better luck next year !!!!
    • Game One - Friday Sept. 17th. 9:30PM on K2 vs. Tilted Kilt (Lost 10 - 9)
