| LUBOMIR DASKALOV- short fact sheet (A.D., B.M., M.M.) is recognized piano performer, teacher and accompanist. Member of the National Professional Music Teachers Association in Canada. Born in May 1976 in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, he began his musical studies at age of 5 focusing on classical piano performance. After his graduation in 1995 Lubomir was accepted with full scholarship in Bulgarian National Music Academy, Sofia working on his Bachelor of Music degree. At the same time he studied Music pedagogy at The National University "Kliment Ohriddski" in Bulgaria. Durring his 4 years of studying he toured Europe and USA earning many prestigeous awards and recognitions.in 1999 Lubomir went to Minnesota, USA as student of prof. Alex Braginsky, starting his Master's program in piano performance. After completion of his curriculum Lubomir was granted with legal immigrant status and joined the big Canadian family.Lubomir maintanes active teaching schedule, also appeared in a several concert events at Northwest T.V. in USA, Bulgarian National T.V. and Radio, Schubert club, Thursday Musical, University of Minnesota, Summer Academy of Saltzburg (Austria) and Universuty of Sofia.In 1998 Mr. Daskalov was invited as a member of the jury board at the 23rd International Piano Competition in Ibiza, Spain. His reviews were published in the following newspapers: Ultima Hora(Spain) Trossingenzeitung(Germany), Demokratzia, Noshten trud, Bulgarian Horizons,Tutti (University of Minnesota,USA) and others. Lubomir Daskalov has more than 10 years of sucessful teaching experience. He graduated University of Minnesota, USA in may 2002, receiving his Master Degree in piano performance. Since his graduation Lubomir arrived in Toronto and immediately began giving number of various concerts. As piano teacher, Lubomir places emphasis on student's preparation for RCM exams. He has worked as Piano teacher in RCM, NCM, CCAC and MCA school. In Spring 2007 and 2008 Lubomir and Orlin Zlatarsky won 1st prizes at Kiwanis Music Competition, Torono, Ontario. |
