Minneapolis and Vicinity, day 35

Lyle (aka Butch) and Mary Ann have several big toys. Butch puts them all to good use at his wonderful suburban-country home.

The Mall of America is a complete entertainment center as well as a big shopping mall. We strolled past many, many stores and watched the children have a wonderful time with all the rides. Some of the local radio stations have exhibits in the mall, and you can have a little fun doing your own simplistic programming -- or you can spend a lot of money on promotional t-shirts, hats, and other trinkets, all bearing the station's logo. We went to see -- not to shop -- and now we can say we saw. The fact that we went to Braham twice and to the Mall once gives you an indication of the kind of tourists we are.

Butch and Mary Ann's garage is large enough that we had a wonderful indoor picnic and an opportunity to visit with Lisa, Lori, and Paul -- and to meet friends Dave and Joanne.
