Bruce Mines to Sault Ste Marie
|
Sault Ste Marie, day 28
As we drove to Sault Ste Marie, we were still
wondering at our good luck to be at Bruce Mines when our RV
decided to break down!
Sault Ste Marie is only about 40 miles from Bruce Mines. It's a
larger town than many we passed in Ontario in Highway 17. It has
a sister city in Michigan. The international border crossing
to Michigan is a beautiful pair of bridges over locks.
For the first time on our trip, we find mosquitoes -- hundreds of
them. Tiny little things nipping at you from all angles.
The KOA here is very, very large, with woods all around. We have
a nice walk in the evening, after we purchase some mosquito
repellant, and we walked again the next day.
For the second time on our trip, we meet people who are working
at carnivals at some of the Ontario towns. The beginning of
spring...
Willie and Shebet are worn out. Their night alone in the RV,
rocked by winds and passing 18-wheelers, was a bit much.
