Hedwig & The Angry Inch- Is the movie of the Millenium for me. Written, acted and directed by John Cameron Mitchell whos last film appearance was in Band of the Hand in 1986, Hedwig is a unusually campy rock-n-roll fantasy set in the sleepy midwest. The lead character, Hedwig is originally from East Germany and finds his way to America via a GI and a botched sex change operation. Once he arrives in the states his GI husband leaves him in a trailer, penniless. He (living as a woman) gets jobs babysitting for officers and meets Tommy, a young 17 year old Christian boy who loves rock music. They get to be friends, and Heddy hips him to all the rock that matters: Bowie, Lou Reed, New York Dolls, and the like and they begin writing and performing songs together at local ice cream parlors and car washes. One day Tommy takes all their songs a gets a huge record deal, becoming a singular version of the Smashing Pumpkins. This is where the film begins. Heddy is pissed and jilted and follows Tommy all over the country with her band The Angry Inch playing at adjacent venues, which are usually steak houses or dive bars. Their story comes to life through narration by Heddy and cartoons as well as the lyrical content of the songs. This one is on FIRE people! Retire Rocky Horror, Hedwig all the way! I give it a million stars! :c)))))

Bully- Is a deeply disturbing true story of a group of Hollywood Florida teens who band together to silence the neighborhood Bully. Its much more than milk money with these kids. Its gay prostitution and extortion. The wild dynamic is that the Bully himself is a good student and college bound athlete slated to take over the family business.  While the neighborhood kids are all dropouts, drunks and druggies who somehow attribute their emotional problems to the reign of terror that the bully seems to administer any waking moment he has. One day enough is enough when the groups prize tramp is brutally raped by the Bully. All the kids get sucked into a fever of hatred and end up doing the wrong thing. All are serving life sentences in Florida correctional facilities right now for the crime. See this one if you can stand reality. :c)
Man Who Wasnt There- Is the film noir of the new millineum. Starring Billy Bob as Bob Crane a slow handed barber in a small town, who feels his wife Doris played by Francis McDormand is cheating on him with her boss Big Dave played by James Gandolfini (The Sopranos) . Once he finds out the truth, and tries to blackmail Big Dave  things start to spin out of control. Enter a travelling (gay) flim flam man who offers to invest the barbers money in a cutting edge process called dry cleaning. This film is very quiet, and at moments eerie. The inner war that Bob fights can come across on screen like a silent train wreck. There are some unbelieveably lucky plot twists, that make the story worth it to the last frame. If you love the Cohen brothers work, and noir film then this one will really seep in. :c))

Minority Report- Is the much hyped long awaited collaboration between Tom Cruise and Steven Speilberg. A bizarre tale of using clairvoyants to predict future murders. Crime in Washington, DC is down 90% murder is non existent. John_---_- the chief of the program is suddenly accused of murder and the story changes into a chase and trying to prove Johns innocence. Many layers of intrigue and a surprise ending will leave you breathless. The futuristic technology is mind bogglingly gorgeous, and worth seeing! :c)
