Adventures of Felix- Is a French film with a road movie theme. Felix is a gay man who has contracted the AIDS virus. He is in a very happy monogamous relationship and doing quite well health wise. But he knows that eventually will come and so he has some things he wants to take care of before the inevitable arrives. His mother has passed and when cleaning out her home he finds stacks of letters from his estranged father, a man he has never even met. Felix then decides to go and find him by tracing the letters to the last address. Felix also thinks that hitch hiking would be a great adventure and it definitely is, even though in a quiet French sorta way. He meets inwardly odd people who help him out with shelter and food along the way. Each meeting is outlined as an episode in the film. And at the end he meets up with an old man who is fishing. Is it his father or isnt it? You decide. :c)

Baby Boy- Is John Singletons film that addresses the Baby Boy syndrome of young American men in the new century. Ones who still live at home with their parents, dont work, or if they do they spend all their money on themselves. Have multiple children and baby mamas, and offer them little or no support financially or emotionally. The story centers around a self centered young brother named ***** who lives at home with his mother that you would swear is his sister. She meets an ex con turned landscaper played by Ving Rhames and baby boys place in the home is threatened. In the end Vin has much knowledge to offer the knuckle headed little man to get him on the right track. This one is funny in some bits and tragic in others. Another urban classic. :c)

Bones- Is one of the first black non camp horror movies made in 20 years. This film stars Snoop Dog as Jimmy Bones, a man who was the neighborhood don in the 70s, but was murdered when he refused to turn his turf into drug turf.  Fast forward to the present day, and the building where Jimmy was murdered long abandoned. A group of suburban teens decide they want to turn the great old building into a club. But the locals warn them to leave the place alone. Naturally they forage ahead. The acting and script isnt Shakespeare, but the best part is the horror and gore. If you like it gross this ones for you!
:c/

Bully- Is a deeply disturbing true story of a group of Hollywood Florida teens who band together to silence the neighborhood Bully. Its much more than milk money with these kids. Its gay prostitution and extortion. The wild dynamic is that the Bully himself is a good student and college bound athlete slated to take over the family business.  While the neighborhood kids are all dropouts, drunks and druggies who somehow attribute their emotional problems to the reign of terror that the bully seems to administer any waking moment he has. One day enough is enough when the groups prize tramp is brutally raped by the Bully. All the kids get sucked into a fever of hatred and end up doing the wrong thing. All are serving life sentences in Florida correctional facilities right now for the crime. See this one if you can stand reality. :c)

Praise- Is a sweet loser movie from down under. This guy Gordon moves into a flop house and drinks like a fish. Then he meets this train wreck of a girl Cynthia who with her loud, domineering, dysfunctional self pushes poor Gordo to the edges of just about everything. These two are somehow tender and sweet between the obsessive sex, copious amounts of drugs and alcohol and near murderous fights. In the end Gordo finds peace, and a place to lay. :c) (video)

Resident Evil- Is based on the video game naturally. Alice played by Milla Jovovitch wakes up dazed and confused in her shower. Guys in black burst in an sweep her off to an underground compound that has recently been taken over by a virus. Little does anyone know that everyone that was in the compound has mutated into flesh eating zombie people. Its up to Alice (if that is her real name) to fight her way back to the surface. This one is a cross between sci fi, action and horror. Exciting to the last frame! :c)

Scorpion King- Is the pre prequel to the Mummy series that goes back to origins of the Scorpion King who is played by pro wrestler The Rock. (Dwane Johnson) He starts out as an average guy who wants to right a great wrong and ends up defeating a great evil. It has great battle scenes and lots of flesh. Its a good one for Conan fans. :c)

Sexy Beast- Is a crime drama about a retired London gangster named Gal,  now chillin somewhere in Spain with is ex porn star girlfriend. Both are middle aged and comfortable with their present lifestyle. When one day his ex boss sends Don Logan played by Ben Kingsley to convince Gal to do one more heist. Gal is dead set against it for he fears this will be the time he gets caught so to him it isnt worth it. Don doesnt hear the word no and is relentless with his persuasion. Its hard to watch Kingsley in this role and remember him as Ghandi. There are surreal moments, and slightly funny ones. But most of whats funny makes you uneasy because of the level of abuse thats going on in the film. Be sure and watch for the bunny people. :c)
