| 'It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in posssession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.' When Ryan Phillippe, a young, rich and very single man moves to Manhattan, New York, the neighbourhood residents are thrilled, especially Mrs. Rikka Everet, Wife of Rupert Everet, who hopes to marry one of her five daughters - tAsha, Lucy, Raav, Rachel and Lisa, to him. When the Everet daughters finally meet Ryan at an extravangant party, they are impressed by his devilishly handsome good looks... oh, and his outgoing personality. They are less impressed however, by Ryan's friend, Jude Law, a mysterious but sexy aristocrat who is too proud to speak to anyone, and refuses to ask Lucy to dance. Ryan and the most beautiful daughter, tAsha, soon begin a romantic relationship filled with flowers and umm... other pretty things, however the relationship is not approved of by his two sister's - Tania and Naveen, and by Jude who thinks Mrs. Everet is a little mad (sorry Rikk... but u r kinda mad!) Although Jude does not like the Everet family, he can't help but be attracted to Lucy due to her expressive eyes and sweet, generous personality (and also her madness!) While Jude is falling in love with Lucy, she becomes attracted to Orlando Bloom, a handsome man with a charming personality. Bloom, who grew up with Law, tells Lucy how cruel Law is, and puts her against him. In the midst of tAsha and Lucy's developing relationships, the Everet family is visited by none other than Jamesie, who happens to be Mr. Everet's cousin. Jamesie would like to marry one of the Everet daughter's, however they all think he is way too ugly, and really gross, so he decides to marry a friend of Lucy and Tasha's (Liz) instead (!) At this point, tAsha finds out that Ryan has unexpectedly left for London (he is a sexy secret agent) and she is heart broken. Ryan's sisters, Tania and Naveen, write to tAsha and tell her that they predict a marriage between Ryan and Jude Law's sister, Amy (who is of course very beautiful). tAsha is outraged, and is certain that her darling Ryan would never do such a thing, and if he did, he would definitely be a bustard-boyche. She is a big romantic, so she is willing to win her man back at any cost, however she is also a strong feminist, so he will have to wash the dishes for her for the rest of his life if he wants to be with her (unless they get a maid, which will solve the problem... or they could use plastic plates, which is definitely a silly idea.) Lucy visits Liz in her new home in Dubai and happens to meet Jude Law's aunt at the same time. Soon after her arrival, Law comes to see his aunt, along with his cousin, Colonel Elton John, who soon becomes good friends with Lucy. One day, Jude unexpectedly proposes to Lucy, she is of course repulsed by his proposition as she is repelled by his pride and the story Orlando had told her previously, and she refuses him. Disheartened, poor Law leaves, however he gives Lucy a letter which explains that Orlando is a devious poop. Lucy is mortified by how her own pride predjudiced her against Law. When Lucy comes home from Dubai, she, tAsh and Raav go on a road trip to .... Los Angeles (long way, i know!) where they visit Jude's amazing Hollywood mansion. They meet Jude and are surprised by how graciously he treats them. He calls on Lucy at her 5* hotel... (would we settle for any less?!) and introduces her to his sister, Amy, and invites her to the mansion for dinner. Jude is still in love with Luce, and she begins to have similar feelings for him. Lucy, tAsha and Raav find out from Rachel that Lisa, their cheeky younger sister, has run away with Orlie! When she is finally found, Mr and Mrs. Everet are distressed to find that the two are married. Orlie has of course changed his ways, and is now a kind gentleman-ey person who loves Lisa to the ends of the Earth. Ryan returns to Manhattan soon after this fiasco, and asks tAsha to marry him! he missed her soooo much while he had been away and couldn't stand to be apart from her any longer. Of course tAsha happily accepts his proposal but first he must first sign a contract saying he will wash his love's dishes for at least 6 months in order for them to be wed. As Ryan is head over heels in love with tAsh, he gladly agrees and they begin to plan their fairytale wedding. When she hears the news, her mother, Rikk is ecstatic and dances her crazy seaweed dance at the next ball. Lucy is thrilled for her sister and begins to help with the wedding arrangements, but she is distracted when Jude's poopey Aunt pays her a visit. The evil aunt informs Luce that she has heard rumours of her engagement to Jude. Lucy is shocked by this and assures his aunt that it is untrue. However she does not believe her and insists that Lucy makes a promise never to accept Law's proposal. Of course, Luce does not make this promise as she is deeply in love with Jude. Jude is informed of Lucy's changed feelings for him by ...... and once again proposes. In June, the two beautiful sisters have a celebrity filled, Hollywood wedding. Receiveing an invite is the greatest honour and everyone in the world is talking about how beautiful the brides are when they feature in hello magazine. Afterwards the two couples buy a huge mansion each right nextdoor to eachother on the most expensive street in Hollywood. Jude and Ryan, being the loving hubbys that they are, also buy Luce and tAsh the coolest cars available plus a yacht each to travel around in in style. The two sisters have a stunning property in Hawaii as well as a huge penthouse suite in New York which they use when they feel the need to visit their friend/sisters/relatives etc. Tash and Luce obviously become ladies of leasure but they dedicate some of their time to helping snapple develop new flavours (for which they win the nobel prize), as well as becoming the new faces of hulas, hand gel and Christian Dior. They both have weekly manicures with the colonel who is very into that sort of thing. As you can see, the story of pride has a very happy ending, especially since (i forgot to mention but...) Jamesie the horrible, ugly one, falls down the stairs of tAsh and Luce's mansion steps and is unable to flirt disgustingly with anyone ever again. |
