I hope I am wrong, I really do. There is a feeling in the air that this coming week will feature some major events, and it's likely I'm not alone in sensing this.

We have a major incongruity with the administration pushing the fear factor to get the Bailout passed, but the markets evidently don't believe it will help with the present crisis.

One congressman reported they were told that the Dow would drop thousands of points if the Bailout failed to pass, and hints were dropped that martial law could follow.

Is all the fear mongering simply hype, or are the powers-that-be aware of something that we are not?

As noted here before, the collapse of the derivatives bubble could turn into the economic equivalent of a nuclear strike. Once the dominos start falling, the spiral of destruction will continue unimpeded, and there is nothing that anyone can do about it at this point. 700 Billion will not do a thing for 1.5 Quadrillion in toxic debt. Perhaps the present freeze-up in the banking system is just the beginning of this scenario.

With economic collapse threatening, we must also prepare for the likelihood of another false-flag terrorist event. Looking back at 9/11, it's interesting to recall how criminal financial dealings were intertwined with the operation. Not only was there massive short selling of certain airline stocks (which indicates foreknowledge by a major market player), but reports of large caches of volatile investment documents that were conveniently destroyed in the WTC. Someone made billions on shorting the stocks, and the SEC investigation trailed away when the evidence began to point toward someone highly placed in the CIA. There were also reports that the damaged portion of the Pentagon just coincidently happened to contain records that might shed light on the missing 1 Trillion or so from the military budget. Is that just dumb luck, or what?

With the derivative time bomb, there is no way of defusing or unraveling it without exposing serious criminal activity to the light of day. Wouldn't it be convenient to arrange for a little "terrorist" action to take out buildings where records are kept? Or, if nothing else, create a new wave of panic with a false-flag attack that takes everyone's mind off of economics for a while.

We also must be aware that inciting a major war could appear attractive as a diversion in the demented minds of our leaders. Possibilities include attacking Iran or giving the green light to our Zionist client in Tel Aviv to do the dirty work. Don't rule out some further reckless action in Georgia or Ukraine; Russia showed great restraint throughout the Zionist-instigated insurrection in Ossetia, but who wants to see their limits further tested?

I would like nothing more than a nice, peaceful autumn giving way to a quiet wintertime, but unfortunately, these possibilities are real.
