ASTHMA AND WHEN TO CALL THE DOCTOR
Hello Readers!
Today I would like to talk to you about Asthma, there are hundreds of Thousands of Americans today dealing with respritory problems. A common one is Asthma.
I would like to go over a few small things to help tell if a family member is in respritory distress.
1. Lack of Activity: quite frequently when a person is in Respritory disress they will become less active. Sitting down more frequently, or suddenly. They may lay down, or sit up holding their chest.
2. Deeper breathing: if you lift up the shirt the muscles of the stomach will contract deeper, making it more visible. This means they are working too much to breathe. ( mostly in children)
3. Constant Cough: sometimes asthma appears as a persistant cough. If your child has no symptoms of a cold but (that nagging cough) if this is the case, take them to be seen to make sure.
4. shortness of breathe: sometimes they have shoutness of breathe as though they have been running- making it difficult to talk.
If any of these signs are noticed, get to a doctor soon! Better safe then sorry!
Smiles,
Lisa
