5th grade came in today; they were as glad to see me as I was to see them. I couldn't believe how much they'd all grown! I've had the privilege of being their librarian since kindergarten.

We had a great deal to catch up on; they were fascinated about my experiences in public school. Now we're getting busy finishing up our library orientation video. This will be shown to new students and the lower grades at the beginning of each school year. They've done a great job so far, writing and editing the script and filming quite a few scenes.

This is our "nerd" picture; when these guys were 4th graders, we'd do this to surprise their classroom teachers. Seriously, though, this is a great group of students that will go very far in life. I expect only the best from them.
