It's been really nice being off the last few days; Thanksgiving was wonderful!  We

had a smoked turkey from Sonny's BBQ that was amazing!  I've always loved

turkey, but smoked is even better!



Saturday we went to UNF to hike the nature trails.  It was my daughter's first time; she had a blast.  I let her choose the path we took.  She practically danced down the paths and boardwalks, so excited to be free and in charge of our journey.  Watching her, it was easy to see her older, finding her own path in the world. 



She was most interested in the leaves.  We've been looking at leaves since she was a newborn.  I used to sit outside at her first daycare with her in my lap, showing her trees and bark and leaves.  I wanted her to love the outdoors, and have respect for all living things.  I think I'm on the right track.
