Sitting on a doorstep
waiting for your dad to come
even though he doesn't somehow that begins your life undone
do you know picking up a decayed bird when your five
bringing it home asking mum to pray with you for it to become alive
do you know that when your closed fist in the face
and told to whipe the blood so it can be erased
do you know when your hurt at a young age
you put that in the back
somehow showing you have confidence
and can interact
do you know your first love
and thier best friend actually schemes to take you away from him
you can cry for 6 weeks
Do you know
punching out to go home
only to come back
holding on to someone hand as thier life slips in the dark
some other people lack
Do you know that when you try to "do yourself in"
The ones you hurt the most are your family and friends
Do you know even through all the bad times including
drugs
theres a parent that stands by you
trying to guide you through
Do you know that even when the people surround you rather family or friends or people you dont know seek revenge
Somehow its thier bitterness that will end
Do you know that crying in the dark or in the light
can be soo alright
But most of all
Do you know
sitting next to the one's who try to hurt you
you either cry inside or outloud
not only for yourself you see but for them too indeed.
Do you even know what this means?
