COLORS- and what they mean to me...
Colors could mean different things. Some say red signifies bravery or blue represents loyalty. Yellow could mean jealousy and green, freshness. Or blue could mean tranquility and red, boldness of mind. Whatever they mean, colors always have something significant for every matter on earth. I have always believed that a person's preferences of colors have something to do with his/her personality, perception in life, etc. The following is an account of my favorite colors- now and then. (I'm fond of black and white too, but they're not colors. They are absence of colors, aren't they?)
PINK. [6 or 7 until I turned 13.] My childhood years- full of innocence and playfulness. Lived in a world dominated by fairy tales and magical creatures. Mind was untarnished (somehow) by the cruel realities of life... Always carefree .... Oblivious of the future waiting ahead. BLUE. [back when I was 13 until I turned 18.] full of idealism... always been fascinated with the heavens- the sky, the stars, the moon...As a teenager, my dreams and aspirations soared high, as high as the heavens. And with these goals in life came a deep conviction(hope, that is) that come hell or high water, I'm gonna make it. BROWN. or should I say, earth colors.. [at present.] Can you call this maturity? Somewhat. More realistic goals in life. Idealism guided by realism. Learning to accept my own faults and shortcomings (humility, that is). The evolution of my favorite colors may symbolize the transformation of my life. From a naive child, to a determined and spirited teenager, and to a more mature person. Which will come next, I don't have the slightest idea. Green, purple, or red or yellow or how about gray? But I bet, whichever it will be, it will always have something to do with the kind of life I live. And that'd be the next chapter of my life 2007-01-30 03:27:41 GMT
