~ Heavenly Dream ~

In the deep of the night
I awake to a sound
It's oh, so beautiful
But no one is around

I lay there in wonder
Just what could it be
Was it coming from heaven?
Was it just for me?

I dropped off to sleep
With wonder in my mind
In my dreams
I heard it a second time

But this time I slept on
As it turned to a song
Sung by an angel
From near God's throne

It made me so home sick
For heaven above
It seemed I was surrounded
By God's great love

When I finally awakened
At the breaking of day
The thought in my mind
What a nice place to stay

But now as I bask
In the effects of that dream
The whole day was heavenly
Not one trouble seen!
