~ DREAMS OF LOVE ~ In my dreams you call to me, my love. Your voice so kind and loving whispers to my heart. While I slumber your image is ever so clear As you tell me sweet things I long to hear. Visions come into view Of the young man I once knew, So handsome and full of life When you asked me to become your wife. Our love grew as the years passed Full of joys and sorrows much like any other. We stayed faithful and true And love grew stronger between me and you. As it always does, life took its toll. One fateful day you called me to your bedside. My heart was broken as you whispered goodbye, My tears I could not hide. I wished for more time for our love to unfold. It was not in God's plan to leave you with me. He took you to a heavenly place of rest above And I was left with memories of our love To ease my pain and a comfort to be. Now you visit me in my dreams And I can again taste the sweetness of your kiss As you hold me in your arms for a while.
