WHEW! What a GREAT walk!! Got started pretty darn close to 6:45. There were 3 of us. It was nice and cool, but LOTS of Holiday traffic headed out to the beach already at 7am! Crossing the bridge was kind of freaky, but we made it over to the beach and another lady, Karen, caught up to us out of breath saying "YAY! I caught up to you!! I've been trying to catch up to you all this time!" She was late getting to the start and was behind us the whole way! LOL We laughed about it and she said it was very motivating seeing us getting closer and closer and closer...I had on my bright pink bucket hat so I was easy to keep track of the whole time and to find once we got to the beach. She came up to me and said "PLEASE tell me you're with the 3-day walkers and I didn't just spend all that time trying to catch up with you for no reason." I laughed. Then we ate bagels and cream cheese for breakfast. It was funny because each one of us groaned in happiness as we sat down in the plastic chairs...even the love bugs didn't bother us and they were THICK out there!! It was 4.3 miles out...We finished up breakfast and started back...The bridge going back wasn't so bad - we figured it was because the traffic wasn't as bad and we knew what we were getting into this time...we stopped at the little gas station convenience store and picked up Gatorade (it was 50cents cheaper there than at the beach) and off we went, just chatting and chatting the whole way! Before we knew it, we were back!! Almost 9 miles!!



We ran into another 3-day'er who is actually on our team but hadn't gotten to any of the walks yet, so didn't know we'd started early these days...she decided to finish her walk, instead of turning back with us.



Tomorrow we'll do the "short" 5.5 miles. Then, because of the holiday, we'll do another walk on Monday morning...I'm loving this group of ladies!! And, I'm loving this whole experience! Oh what a beautiful MORNING!!!! Oh what a beautiful DAY!!!!! I've got a beautiful FEEEEEELING!! EVERYTHING'S going my way!!!!!
