3 miles down at the New Balance store in SOUTHERN Sarasota...Took me about 45 minutes just to get there. BUT, it was worth it. I met with the Sarasota walking group and they are a great bunch of ladies. Walked with a young lady, Zadda...yup...She's an elementary school music teacher. Sweet thang. We had a great walk and talk together.



Then, got into the store and there were Marion and Chantal...and Marion jumped out of her seat and over to me...it was great to be greeted in such a way, especially since I was just as happy to see her.



They had great sales at the store and I got 2 new wicking t-shirts (one pink ribbon, one bright yellow) for less than $25 total!! That's over $75 value!! What a deal!! Oh, and I was smart enough to take the snagged shirt back and they traded it in for me...but the one I bought was a discontinued style...so I had to get the new ones, with the lighter weight and doesn't look like it's as easy to snag...and it cost more...but they traded it out even for me! I wasn't about to say anything! I like the people at THIS New Balance store!! They're MUCH nicer than the other store...So, if you're in Sarasota, and you need New Balance shoes...go to the store down there on S Tamiami - 6573 or something, down in the Pavillion Mall...and the store is located around the corner from Catherine's...which is behind the out-parcel that is Panera Bread. NICE PEOPLE!!



OH!! And they had food...sandwiches, which didn't surprise me...but they had ROASTED VEGGIES and fruit and grape tomatoes...I was in heaven. I had been craving water melon last night and low and behold, there it was and it tasted just as wonderful as I'd expected it to. I was so happy they didn't cater to meat eaters!! Impressed the crap right out of me that I went and bought stuff...looked at the racks when I hadn't planned on it and found those GREAT bargains!! Amazing how that works!



Coach Nancy was there, too...and she remembered me! I think I mentioned that I asked her about the bucket hat (or I was going to or something) well, she wrote back and said they were a promotional gift for mentors a couple years back...but she'd put one in the mail for me!! I thanked her profusely and told her I'd be watching my mail as joyfully expectantly as if it were a donation...then mentioned how excited I get when I get donations in the mail...and the ritual Hubby and I go thru. He puts them on my chair with my mail...and sneaks in to watch me notice it. I see it and shout "I GOT ANOTHER ONE!!" or "I GOT TWO TODAY!!" and flop it around a couple times in the air before I tear into it excitedly to see how much it's for. I think Coach Nancy liked that email...when she said Hi to me, she had a silly smile on her face...I think I've burned myself into her memory because of that email.



Anyway, all in all a very worthwhile evening! Finished up there at 8pm and got home about 8:45. Now, I must go to bed...Bible study in the morning, so it's a little earlier. No walk before work...Yoga after work. I pray it's not the last Tuesday Yoga class!!!
