AHhhhhhh...Looong walk today. 5 miles. Pushed hard going out...a little easier coming back. Walked with a group this morning, out on the causeway. It's 2 1/2 miles out, so there and back. Stopped at the little store out there and got a Gatorade. Drank my water when we got out there and the Gatorade when we got back to the cars...walked with Sue, the lady from a few blocks over, out...she's a fast walker. It was at least a 4mph pace out. The two of us and an older French woman walked together out, leaving the other 5 in the dust. Sue and Chantel talked up a storm the entire time. When we got out to the bridge to the island, the cops had the bridge closed. Apparently at 3:30am, a car went off the bridge and they still hadn't found one of the bodies...the lady cop was really nice and talked to us a little bit. I told her I used to be a cop...and I used to work for Holmes Beach. I think she thought I used to be a cop for Holmes Beach, which I wasn't, but hey...oh, well - details. One of the girls liked her short hair cut, so we talked about that...It was fun to talk a little shop and be in the know (Lady cops are all gay, ya know...HA! we laughed about that one together..."Yeah, especially when you're arresting them!"



Anyway, I walked with Marion on the way back...a little slower for me, she seemed to be pushing it though. I asked her if I was walking too fast and she said no. We talked about losing weight and DARN!! I meant to give her the CK web site...ah, well...next time. She needs to lose about 30 lbs because of health problems and WW failed her. She's a good church going girl, too. So we talked a little about that, too.



So, it was a great walk today and now I must go take a shower and get ready for church. Later!
