Rest day...
Walked my mile before the work day from hell...It was so bad, I don't even want to relive it to tell you about it. Let's just tuck this one away in the "OH! I never want to revisit May 11, 2007 ever again!" drawer.
SMOKEY!!! down here in Florida - at least on this side of the state. Went to lunch and my eyes burned from it. It's supposed to just as bad tomorrow. I was glad today was a rest day...I would NOT have been able to work out in this. I may have to move my scheduled walk in the park to the treadmill at the gym tomorrow...that really bums me out. I really wanted to go walking in the park!! They said on the news that today's health scale was 3 times worse than it's ever been...and in places the visibility was less than 1/2 mile because of the smoke. My car was COVERED in ash this morning (still is, actually...it's filthy)...brown, wood ash. Sad...They say a lot of these fires were started by careless smokers tossing their lit cigarette butts out the window. PISSES me off...THEY PUT ASHTRAYS IN THE CAR FOR A REASON!! And if your car doesn't have an ash tray...how freakin' hard is it to go a bloody half hour without a cigarette until you get home and can use your ash tray there?!? BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU"RE GOING TO SMOKE! For cryin' out loud! GAH!
Stupid fibro flare isn't much better..well, that's not true. It was virtually non-existant until about an hour ago. Now I think it's popping up because I'm getting tired. Lack of sleep really plays a number on me.
I have too much I need to get done. High on my list is to organize my eating habits. Summer is coming and I really want to get back into the healthy habits I had last summer...fresh fruits and veggies. I've got my Vita-Mixer this summer and I want to use the heck out of it, so I want to sit down and organize my thoughts on what I want (need) to change and how I need to go about doing that. I know I need to do it one step at a time or I'll flip out and give up. I'm thinking fruit smoothies for breakfast, fresh veggie salads for lunch...I want to get rid of as much processed food for the summer as I can and go as fresh as I can...no frozen dinners, veggie burgers, etc unless I make them myself...that's why I need to organize myself. I need to find some good quick recipes that I can whip up fast with stuff I can keep on hand. I'm easy enough that I can eat the same thing every night when I like it...Hubby isn't so easy. That's the problem, mostly...BUT, I can work this out.
Anyway...another thing I have to do is get up to Tampa to return a t-shirt that has a snag in it...it's a 3-day wicking t-shirt...not cheap. It's an hour drive up there and an hour back. I have a 3 mile walk to get in, I want to go to Yoga class tomorrow, I have a meeting at 12:30-2pm and Hubby wants face time with me tomorrow...Too much to do.
So...I must go to bed, since it's now 11:52pm. Night-ie-o!
