Cross training for day 2 of "Official 3-day Training"
Hatha Yoga...I'm LOVING it. I feel all shakey when I hold the moves now, but I've only been to 3 classes so far...I just keep thinking that one of these days I'll realize I'm not shaking any more and THAT will be a very cool realization. I look in the mirror and see that I don't noticable shake very much, though...so then I wonder if anyone else in the class is feeling shakey like I do...Then I look around and I think I see a slight tremor in someone else's position and I feel much better.
Now that I write that, I realize that this might be good for my Familial Tremor, too. I was diagnosed with that last year...basically, I shake. It's not like Parkinson's...It's just a little tremor that is noticable when I carry dishes that are stacked (they rattle) or maybe when I hold my hands just so...people ask me "why are you shaking?" I just do...It's a "disorder" I have. Maybe the yoga will help minimize that?
Then, class gets over and the instructor says "I'll be here next Tuesday, but the week after that they are revamping the schedule and Yoga may be scratched." I am not happy. They have WAY too many classes like Cardio Kickboxing and no where near enough classes like yoga and pilates at night, when us poor saps who have to work can actually take them!! I express my disdain and explain my need for less stressful classes because of my fibro. A kickboxing class pretty much puts me out for 5-7 days at a time. I do enjoy them, but realistically, I can't do them on a regular basis. Seriously...when I was doing them every other Saturday, I was not really doing anything else until maybe Wednesday or Thursday afterwards because of how it kicked my butt and my fibro flared because of it. I did love the way it made me feel immediately after, but the "long term" effect after wasn't worth it...I still look at that Saturday class on ocassion, but I doubt I'll return to it until after the 3-day at the very least. So...now I'm worried that I may lose my yoga...after I finally found it.
