Ok...what a great week this has been!
I know I didn't mention this, but when I crewed the Breast Cancer 3-day (don't laugh) one of the "big deals" for me was I got to ride in a Jeep for the first time...You know...a real Jeep. Not a fake Jeep that just has the Jeep name on it, but a rough and tumble jeep Jeep. Sure, it was mostly highway riding, but it was a thrill for me, none-the-less. I've always wanted one...deep in the back of my mind. Hubby says "NO WAY!" He thinks they are too clumsy, too boxy, too uncomfortable...to blech. And they leak. Well, it wasn't bad! I liked it! I had a GREAT time!!
Today...Not only did I get to ride in a Jeep AGAIN! But I actually got to DRIVE one! LOL. Yup, had to go pick up vehicles for one of the jobs that goes out tomorrow out of Port Canaveral. First we had to go pick up a Penske box truck. I drove for that one and one of the guys from work drove the truck back.
Then, because the truck wouldn't hold 3 people, we had to rent a car...so he wanted to drive (so he could smoke). Once we got there, he INSISTED on getting the PT Cruiser. UGH! I HATE those stupid cars! I argued and argued with him...but he insisted. I asked him if he'd ever driven one before...He said "You know how to drive a stick?" Of course. "Then you can drive my Jeep back to the shop and I'll drive the Cruiser." He was happy...until we got back to the shop. "This thing sucks!" LMAO.
I didn't care...I didn't have to drive the stupid thing AND I got to drive a JEEP!! Good for me all around!
