Ok...WOW!

Just found out today, and it's not really set in stone yet...BUT

It looks like the job I'm going on will be in drydock in France instead of wetdock in Italy. SO...We'll fly into Civitavecchia (most likely) and hop on-board the ship...motor on over to Marseille, France and work, work, work in drydock (they pull the ship out of the water, instead of wetdock, where they leave the ship in the water). The supervisor already told me he had planned I'd get a day or two off during the job, which means I should get a day or two in Marseille...

I have already picked out 3 things I want to do there...Notre Dame (of course! A MUST!!), the Holocast museum (I have to research this more...which camps were right there in France?!?) and a park called Parc Longchamp (it has waterfalls and other neat stuff in it).

Then...after the job is done, we'll motor on back to Civitavecchia on the ship...where I and the other 2 guys who are staying an extra couple days will head over to Rome and enjoy the sites and sounds and FLAVORS of the Italian capital.

GOD IS SO GOOD! He wants me to see more than just Italy! I get to see FRANCE, TOO!! How cool is this!?!

Of course, like I said, it's not set in stone yet...we're waiting on the final word from Princess. I've decided to let myself get a little excited anyway...What's the worst that can happen? I only get to go to Rome?? BAH!
