Tough Life for young men of Upper Kheng
If you thought trekking to Tangu or Cheri was tough, think again. The people of rural and remote Upper Kheng carry huge steel boxes such as the one seen in the picture through muddy, leech-infested footpaths on the way to their homes. I remember how 16 or so men carried iron bridge materials from Dakpai (four or more full days from most of Upper Kheng) during the construction of iron bridge over Chamkhar Chhu.
