Family in Danga Pam

This is a family in Danga Pam. Danga Pam is just half an hour from Zhemgang Dzong, the seat of district headquarters. The village lacks proper drinking water, there is no electricity and the paddy fields have remained fallow for years for want of irrigation facilities.

What were children doing with their parents. At least three of them are big enough to be in schoo. Did your visit/photography coincided with weekends when children visit home.

Zhemgang has one of the lowest primay enrollment in Bhutan.

If a family in Pam which only near motor road does not send to school, we would less from remote villages.

Another issue for Lekey to keep it in mind.
