Gongfu village has in recent times become modernised with the advent of farm road, electricity, communications facilities including fixed and cellular services.  However, this village (I am told)  has not produced any university graduates. There is, therefore, the need to educate and instill the value of good education in this village.

The round wooden block as seen in the picture is called 'tshom'. In some parts of the kheng, it is mostly used to pound paddy into rice. The pounder is called 'nge tsingma'. Some villagers have purchased rice huller at the market rate while farmers in other villages get government-subsidized machines.

This is one area Lekey should look.
