Kristine is a San Diego, California native who began her writing career as a reporter in Washington D.C. in the mid-90s. She now works as a fundraiser for The Nature Conservancy and is particularly passionate about animal welfare, wildlife conservation and habitat preservation. Kristine has been published in the literary journals The Bark, The Peregrine and Charles River Review. She is currently working on a short story cycle set before, during and after the water wars in Southern California's Owens Valley.
