Essay for "The Impulse to Write"

Introduction:
Too often, students are required to write about topics that they truly do not care about.  Bradbury stated in his essay, "If you are writing without zest, without love, without fun, you are only half a writer...for the first thing a writer should be is excited."  Your job is to find out what it is that gives you zest and justo.  Then, develop an informative essay on what it is that you love or hate.  The goal here is for your voice to come through the paper.
Structure:
You probably want to use something like this.

Begin with an anecdote, startling statement, or quote.  Then, explain what it is that                                            "Impulses you to ____________."

Body:
Use anecdotes from your past and present experiences to support your thesis.  Use exampes from the world around you.  It is a good idea to refer back to your thesis and use specific examples.

Conclusion:
Reinforce your main points.  Refer back to your introduction to tie it all together
