Essay for "The Impulse to Write"

Introduction:
Bradbury stated in his essay "If you are writing without zest, without gusto, without love,                                 without fun, you are only half a writer� For the first thing a writer should be is � excited."                               Your job is to find out what it is that gives you zest and gusto.  Then, develop an essay on                                what it is the "Impulses you to ________."

Structure:             
You probably want to use something like this.

Introduction:
Begin with an anecdote, startling statement, or quote.  Then, explain what it is that                                            "Impulses you to ____________."

Body:            
Use anecdotes from your past and present experiences to support your thesis.  It is a                                         good idea to refer back to your thesis and use specific examples.

Conclusion:     
The future.  Refer back to your introduction to tie it all together

It might be a good idea to occasionally refer back to your title.  This could be good to use                                 as transitions and emphasis.

Requirements:    
Your essay must have the following things:

No gross grammatical errors (their/there, affect/effect)
No spelling errors
Anecdotes
Transitions
Metaphor (try at least one)
Structure
Creative thinking
Typed
Active verbs, specific nouns and modifiers
