5-10-02-I know there is really no excuse for staying away so long but try and see it from my point of view. I am literally in the middle of nowhere. I have however tried to make myself feel better by creating a little Yahoo Group, NocturneAlaska. I hope to find other gothic kin up here in Alaska. Anyways, and I have doing a little self advertisement. And I am trying to find a job right now. And get my childern into a good daycare facility. All of this stuff adds STRESS, so this is my disclaimer for anything offensive you may see or read here. I am only human, guys.... |

11-30-01- I apologize for staying away for soooooo long. So far this has been a very hard year for me and for all of us everywhere. My mother took her own life in July and then September 11 happened and now all of the world is a blur. I try not to cry in front of my childern but I cannot be stone.
I am thankful for all that I still have. And everyone that is still alive in my life. It makes everything, even gothic things seem so trivial, like how dare we celebrate death in light of all of the loss people are suffering right now. But I know Goth is not as simple as that. Something in the dark actually comforts me. Something in the night whispers to me. Even at times when I have thought Goth is something I have outgrown, this feeling I have reminds me. It is almost like an ache in my soul. I just look to my music, friends, and family to comfort me. And I must remember that the whole world cries with me right now. We can't afford to be self-involved. |
