Eighteen Incompatible Medicaments

They constitute one of the contents in the incompatibility of traditional Chinese materia  medica. Eighteen incompatible medicaments refer to the following eighteen traditional Chinese drugs with serious side effects of incompatibility:

Pinellia tuber, trichosanthes fruit, fritillary bulb, ampelopsis root and bletilla tuber are  incompatible with aconite root.

Seaweed, knoxia root, kansu root and genkwa flower are incompatible with liquoroce.

Ginseng, glehnia root, red sage root, serophularia root, asarum root and peony root are incompatible with veratrum root.

The content of eighteen incompatible medicaments is not the same in the past records. In addition, they are mutually discrepant in the clinical practical application. So they should be regarded as incompatible medicaments before the attainment of all-round and unanimous conclusion.
