Chapter 25

"Howie hurry up we're already late!" Nikki shouted from her jeep.
Howie ran out of his house and quickly got in. "Sorry, I overslept," he said while catching his breath.
"It's all right. It's not like anyone is going to kill us if we're few minutes late," she said as she pulled out of the driveway and headed to the beach.
Howie smiled and sat back in his seat. He looked over at Nikki and noticed that she seemed a little flustered. "Nikki is something wrong?"
"Wrong? No, nothing's wrong. Why would anything be wrong?" she asnwered quickly.
"You just seem a little stressed. It's not like you to be that way."
"I'm fine Howie. Nothing is wrong," she said with a sigh and gripped her hands on the streering wheel.
"Did something happen before you came here? If so you know can- - "
"Howie for the last time I'm fine! Let's drop this before I get really mad," Nikki shouted.
Howie was hurt, but understood. "Okay, but I'm here if you want to talk."
"Thanks," she said quietly then parked the jeep by the beach. "We're here," she said then got out.
Everyone had already arrived and were already eating. "Hey you guys couldn't wait for us?" Howie asked as he put his beach towel down on the sand.
"Sorry D we were all hungry. Dig in," AJ said as he took a bite out of his sandwich.
Howie picked up a plate and began filling it up with food. Nikki took a seat next to Amanda and sighed. "So did you tell him yet?" she asked in anxiety.
"No," Nikki said as she looked down at the sand.
"Why not? Girl you know he likes you."
"I don't know. I just don't want anything to happen to our friendship."
"Nothing will happen to your friendship. It will richen it. Trust me I know. AJ and I were best friends before we started seeing each other. You know that."
"I know," Nikki said with a sigh.
"So what do you have to lose?" Amanda asked her with a smile.
"You know what, I really don't want to talk about this right now," Nikki said then got up and walked over to the shore.
"What's with her?" AJ asked as he put his arm around Amanda.
"Nothing, just girl stuff," Amanda answered.
"Hey anyone up for some vollyball?" Brian asked as he twirled the volleyball on his finger.
Rachel stood up and snatched the ball away from him. "You think I'm good at basketball wait til you see my spike."
"Oh come on! A shorty like you can play volleyball? Please!" Brian said with a grin. Kristin let out a snicker. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing except for the fact that you just made the biggest mistake of your life by saying that."
"Hey Rachel didn't you say that you play for--" AJ started, but was interrupted by Rachel's facial expression for him to shut up.
"Why don't we split up boys and girls and see who's better," Rachel said in a cocky tone.
"All right you're on!" Brian said with a confident grin. "Losers have to swim in the ocean naked."
"I'll go for that," Rachel said as she picked her side of the net.
"Umm Rachel maybe this isn't such a good- -" Amanda said, but was interrupted by Kristin.
"Don't worry these guys don't stand a chance with her. Trust me she's good."
Amanda grinned. "Do they know that?" Kristin shook her head. "This is gonna be good," Amanda said with a laugh then she and Kristin walked over to Rachel.
Sarah was sitting on her beach towel by berself when Kevin noticed her. "Come and play with us Sarah. It'll be fun."
"No that's okay you guys go ahead and play," she said as she put her sunglasses on.
"Are you sure?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah, I'm not too much into volleyball."
"But we'll be uneven if you don't play."
"Don't worry about it Kevin we'll be okay with only four girls," Rachel commented." Sarah you keep score."
"You're going down Crawford!" Brian shouted.
Rachel snickered. "Dream on Littrell!" she said then made the first serve.
The game went on and Sarah kept score. Rachel made one final spike and Brian surrendered. "Okay I give up! The girl is good!"
Rachel laughed and turned to Sarah. "What was the score again?"
"Boys 24, girls 45," Sarah said then started laughing.
"Hmmmm, I guess we all know what that means," Rachel said with a devious smile.
"Hey I was just kidding when I said that you know," Brian said innocently.
"I wasn't," Rachel said as she moved toward Brian. "Swimming trunks are going bye bye," she said as she ran her finger down his chest. Brian moved back nervously as Rachel continued to move forward. "Do as I wish and you'll get someting in return sexy," she whispered in his ear and licked his ear lobe.
"Come on guys you heard the lady! Let's go!" Brian said as he headed to the ocean.
All the guys followed him and took off their swimming trunks when they were far enough into the water. The girls all laughed at the sight.
"Oh my god this is cold!" Nick shouted.
"You'll get used to it," Kevin said.
"How would you know?" Kevin raised his eyebrows and grinned. "That's disgusting! I don't even wanna know about it."
"Has little Nicky never been skinny dippng before?" AJ said with a chuckle.
"Shut up!" he shouted and dunked AJ under water.
"Okay lets get our trunks and get out of here," Howie said as he looked around for his trunks. "Hey where are my trunks?" The boys looked around for their trunks.
"Oh boys!" Kristin said in a sing song voice. "Looking for these?" she asked as she held up Nick's swimming trunks.
The boys looked up and noticed all the girls holding their trunks.
"Okay very funny give them back now," AJ shouted.
"Come fetch!" Amanda said with a laugh.
"Aww that's not fair!" Nick whined.
"We're not coming out until you give us back our trunks," Brian said.
"Too bad. Must be awfully cold in that ocean," Rachel said as she started to walk away.
"Okay all you girls can kiss my white ass!" AJ said as he stood up and flashed them his butt.
The girls cracked up and fell to the sand laughing.
"Okay you big babies you can have them back now," Rachels aid as she grabbed all of their trunks and tossed them to the boys.
They all put their swimming trunks back and ran toward the girls. They all screamed as the boys grabbed ahold of them and threw them into the ocean.
"Oh cold!" Kristin shouted.
"Now you know how we felt," Nick said with a grin.
The girls got out and wrapped themselves up in beach towels. "Brrrrr cold!" Kristin said as she leaned up against Nick. He laughed and rubbed his hands up her arms to warm her up. Her teeth were chattering.
"Geez you are cold aren't you," he said as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Uh huh," she said as she shivered.
"Hey guys why don't we warm these ladies up with a bon fire," AJ suggested.
"Sounds good to me," Nick said as he went with th guys to get some twigs.
By dark the fire was fully lit up and everyone was sitting around it. Everyone was talking and having a good time except for Nikki. She felt out of place so she got up and walked out toward the shore. Howie noticed her leave so he followed her.
"Nikki?" he said gently as he touched her arm.
"Howie just leave me alone," she said as she turned away from him.
"What's wrong? Why won't you tell me?"
"I don't think you wanna hear about it."
"Try me," Howie said with his hand on her shoulder.
Nikki turned around and looked at Howie. Her eyes glistened with tears. "Howie I. . .I. . ,"she said with her voice quivering.
"You what?"
Nikki sighed. "Nevermind," she said as she ran off to her jeep.
"Nikki!" Howie shouted, running after her.
Amanda noticed Nikki runing away so she followed her, catching her before she got in the jeep. "Nikki what's gong on?"
"I can't do this. I'm sorry I can't," she said in between sobs.
"You can't do what? Nikki what are you talking about?"
"Nothing! You wouldn't understand!" she said as she started to open the door.
Amanda grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the jeep. "I'm not letting you go out like this."
Nikki jerked her arm away. "Just leave me alone!" she shouted then sped off onto the road.
"What was that all about?" AJ asked as he ran up to Amanda.
"I don't know. Something's going on. I just wish I knew."

Chapter 26

A couple of days had gone by and Nikki hadn't spoken to anyone since she ran off at the beach. She was still in bed when she heard the doorbell rang. Slowly she got up and answered the door. There stood Amanda with a look of worry on her face.
"Oh my god have you been home all this time?" she said as she shoved herself into the door.
"Yeah. . .why?" Nikki asked as she yawned.
"Do you have any idea how worried everyone was? Why didn't you return my phone calls?"
"Amanda I just needed some time to think. I'm okay really."
"I can't believe you wouldn't just call me up and tell me you were okay. That's all I needed to know! Nikki I'm your best friend, how could you scare me like that?"
"I'm sorry!" Nikki said on the verge of tears.
Amanda sighed and looked at Nikki. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell. I was just scared since you didn't tell me where you were and how you were doing. You've worried poor Howie to death."
"Howie was worried?" Nikki said as she wiped her tears.
"Yes, he's been trying to call you for two days and the phone has been off the hook. He said he even stopped by a few times and no one answered. Nikki, he's worried about you. You're his friend and he cares about you."
"Yeah, a friend is all I'll ever be," Nikki mumbled.
"What did you say?" Amanda shot her a look.
"You heard me."
"You think Howie only likes you as a friend? Girl you are so wrong!"
Nikki looked at Amanda in shock. "What?"
Amanda grabbed Nikki's hand and led her to the couch and sat down next to her. "I really shouldn't be telling you this, but since he won't do it himself I'm gonna have to do it."
"I'm not sure I'm following you."
"Nikki, Howie has a crush on you. He has for a long time. He's tried to tell you over and over, but he's never had the guts to do it. I know you like him too so maybe you can hint to him that you feel the same way he'd get the courage up to ask you out."
"You mean to tell me that I've been worrying about him liking me and he's been worrying about me liking him? And all this time we've been worrying, we could have been together?" Amanda nodded. "Oh god what am I gonna do?"
"Just call Howie and tell him to come over. I think you guys need to tell each other how you feel. He leaves in three days you need to tell him before he goes on tour."
Nikki nodded in agreement. "Okay I'll tell him tonight."
"Good," Amanda said as she stood up. "I gotta go. AJ and I are planning on spending some time with each other before he leaves. I'll talk to you later. Let me know what happens with Howie."
"Okay," Nikki said then Amanda left. She pondered for a second what to say to Howie when she calls him then slowly picked up the phone. "Howie?" she said after he picked up.
"Nikki! Are you okay? I've been trying to get ahold of your for days."
"I know. I'm sorry, but I'm okay." Nikki sighed and bit her lip in anxiety. "Howie can you come over? I think we need to talk."
"Yeah sure I'll be right over."
"Okay I'll see you then," she said then hung up. "This better work," she said to herself then waited for Howie.

Chapter 27

Kristin was sound asleep in her bed when she heard the doorbell wake her up. Moaning in irritation she pulled the covers over her head and ignored it. The doorbell was ringing repetitively and was beginning to annoy her.
"God go away! There are people trying to sleep here," she whined. The doorbell rang once more. She groaned and got up to answer it. "This better be good," she mumbled under her breath as she opened the door. There stood Nick and Brian with grins on their faces.
"Wake up sleeping beauty and go get ready. We're all going to a water park," Nick said then kissed her on the cheek.
Kristin stared blankly at Nick and slammed the door shut. Just then, Rachel walked in yawning. "Who was that?" she asked in between yawns.
"Two clowns who got lost on their way to the circus," Kristin said sarcastically.
Rachel laughed and opened the door again. "Come on in guys."
Nick and Brian walked in. "I assume you're not a morning person," Nick said as he put his arms around Kristin.
"Not when someone rings the doorbell at freaking ten in the morning. On a Saturday for that matter."
Nick laughed. "I'm sorry babe. Now go get ready so we can take you two to the water park. It'll be fun."
Kristin stared into Nick's blue eyes and gave him a warm smile. "Okay we'll be ready in an hour."
"Feel free to play with the N64 while you're waiting. We've got Mario Kart," Rachel said as she headed to her room.
The boys played Mario Kart when the girls came out in their swim suits. Kristin had on a green halter top with matching boy shorts. Rachel's looked similar only in blue. Nick smiled and wrapped his arms around Kristin waist.
"You look good," he purred into her ear.
Kristin reached up and kissed him lightly on the lips. "Thank you," she said with a seductive smile.
"Okay you two let's get to the water park," he said as he led Rachel out to his BMW.
Nick and Kristin climbed in the back and they headed out to Wet and Wild water park. Brian parked the car and gave everyone their tickets.
"All right let's go!" Nick shouted as he hopped out of the back seat.
Kristin laughed and got out of the car. "Someone is excited."
"Of course," Nick said as he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her.
"Okay lovebirds are you coming or are you gonna make out in the parking lot?"
Nick thought a minute. "Make out in the parking lot."
Brian laughed. "Come on guys let's go."
They all gave their tickets to the girl at the ticket booth and went inside. After choosing a spot to put their stuff down the boys took off their shirts and went to rent some inner tubes. They rented four inner tubes and headed back over to the girls.
"Okay so what do we want to go on first?" Nick asked.
"Let's go on that one," Rachel said as she pointed to a blue whirling slide.
"All right let's go!" Brian said as he ran up to the top. Once on top Brian made himself comfortable on his inner tube and waited for the okay from the lifeguard. "See ya!" Brian shouted as he slid down the slide.
Rachel wasn't far behind him and met up with him on the first pool of water. They both waited for someone to come along and push them down the next slide. Brian splashed around trying to get his inner tube moving.
"Hey!" Rachel said as she wiped the water off her face.
Brian laughed. "Sorry," he said as he tried to keep moving. "I'm not going anywhere!" Rachel laughed at the sight.
"Look out below!" Nick shouted from the above slide. He slid down and bumped right into Rachel causing her to go on down to the next slide.
"Bye!" she waved with a laugh.
"Hey! No fair!" Brian whined as he kept kicking and splashing.
Nick laughed. "Sucker!"
"Hey look who's floating with me? You got no room to talk." Just then, Kristin came down the slide and bumped Brian down to the next slide. "Yay I'm moving!"
Kristin laughed and looked over at Nick. He moved his inner tube over to her and grabbed her hand. "What are you doing?"
"We're gonna go down together. Hang on," he said as he leaned back. His inner tube slowly moved toward the edge of the slide dragging Kristin with him. The two of them splashed down in the next pool of water laughing.
"Looks like we're stuck here," Nick said.
"I don't mind," Kristin said with a smile.
Nick smiled back and leaned over to kiss her, when he noticed his inner tube sliding down the next slide. "Hey! Whoa!" he shouted as he slid down the next slide.
Kristin laughed and moved her inner tube down the slide. The two of them floated down the rest of the way together. Meanwhile Rachel and Brian were floating in the pool at the end of the ride waiting on Nick and Kristin. Brian was looking at Rachel with loving eyes.
"What?" she said when she noticed him staring.
"Nothing I was just thinking."
"About?" she asked as she got closer.
"Well, I was thinking. . .how would you like to--"
"Look out!" Rachel said as a beach ball headed toward him and smacked him in the head. Rachel busted up laughing.
"Thanks for the warning," he said while rubbing his head. "Where'd that come from anyway?" he asked as he picked up the beach ball.
"Hey mister can I have my ball back?" a little boy said.
"Yeah, sure," he said as he handed it back to him. He then turned back to Rachel. "So anyway I was wondering if you'd--"
"Hey there's Nick and Kristin!" Rachel shouted as she swam over to them.
"That was fun," Kristin said as Nick got off his inner tube and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.
"Brian and I want to go float on the lazy river you want to come?"
"No, we're gonna go on the one with dark tunnel," Nick said.
"Okay we'll meet up with you guys later," Rachel said as she followed Brian to the lazy river.
"All right let's go!" Nick said as he grabbed Kristin hand. "Put your inner tube with our stuff. We'll go doubles on this slide."
"Okay," Kristin said as she put her inner tube down and the two went up to the slide hand in hand.

Chapter 28

Rachel and Brian put their inner tubes down and rented a raft for two and headed out to the lazy river. Brian held it still as Rachel climbed on and he quickly got on himself.
Rachel smiled and laid back on the raft. "This is so relaxing. I could do this for hours," she said as she slipped her blue sunglasses on. "Don't you think this is fun?" she asked as she looked over at Brian.
He smiled and stared at her. "You know those sunglasses look good on you. Blue's my favorite color."
"Mine too," Rachel said while blushing.
"You know I've been trying to ask you something all day. I think I better do it now before I get interrupted again."
"What is it," Rachel as she blocked the sun with her hand.
"You know, I've never met anyone like you. You're a very special person you know that?"
Rachel laughed nervously. "If you say so."
"No, I'm serious. You've got all the right qualities inside and out. The funny thing is. . .I think I'm falling for you."
"Huh? What?" Rachel said as she fell off the raft in shock.
When she came back up Brian was laughing at her. "Are you okay?" he asked as he lended her a hand.
She took his hand and got back up on the raft. "Yeah, I'm fine," she said, avoiding his eyes.
Brian reached out and brushed a piece of hair off of her face. "Look I know this is all a shock to you. Maybe I did this too soon," Brian said in a sad tone of voice.
"No!" she shouted then sighed. "No," she said more softly. "You didn't"
Brian smiled. "Say what are the chances of a guy like me getting together with a girl like you?"
Rachel grinned. "I say the chances are pretty good. Fifty-fifty maybe," she said mischievously.
"Oh really?"
"Uh huh," she said as she got close to him.
"What can I do to make my percentage higher?"
"Kiss me," Rachel said seductively.
Brian kissed her passionately on the lips. "How was that?"
"You just won first prize Mr. Littrell."
"Oh yeah? What do I win?" he said as he nuzzled her neck.
"A girlfriend."
Brian looked up at her and smiled. "Is that a that a yes?" Rachel nodded. "You just made me the happiest man alive."
"Well, maybe we can be happy together," Rachel said shyly.
"Of course," Brian said as he kissed her again and put his arms around her.
Rachel snuggled close to him and the two of them happily floated down the lazy river together.

Chapter 29

"Kris just one more ride I promise. Then we can go eat," Nick whined after a long day of going down the slides.
"Nick, hon, I'm hungry and I want to eat. I've had enough of sliding down slides for a little bit. We can start again later," Kristin said as she headed toward where they put their stuff.
"Aww come on just one more!"
Kristin laughed. "Nineteen years old and you still whine like you're three." Nick stuck his tounge out. "Okay so now you're going on two."
"Funny," Nick said.
Kristin giggled and grabbed his hand. "Come on let's go eat lunch and I promise we'll go on the slides some more."
"Okay," Nick gave in.
The two of them went to the lawn chairs and found Rachel and Brian walking in the same direction holding hands. Kristin grinned and went over to Rachel. "Exscuse me Brian I'm gonna steal her for a moment," she said as she pulled Rachel over to the side.
"Yes?" Rachel said with a huge smile.
"You're not hiding anything girl I can see that glow on your face. He asked you out didn't he?" Rachel nodded. "Oh my gosh! Rach I'm so happy for you!" Kristin squealed. "You'll have to tell me every detail."
"Okay I will tonight."
Kristin jumped up and down in excitement. "Okay we better get back to our boys. They're waiting on us."
Kristin and Rachel walked over to the lawn chairs where the boys were taking bread and lunch meat out of the coolers. Rachel seated herself on a lawn chair next to Brian while Kristin took a seat on the ground in front of Nick. All four of them made their sandwiches and began to eat.
"So are you two. . .like. . .together. . .now," Nick asked in between bites. Brian nodded. "It's about time! I though you'd never ask her out."
Brian laughed. "Thanks Frack."
"So what have you two been doing all this time?" Rachel asked.
"Girl we have been on every ride there in this whole park," Kristin said.
Nick shook his head. We've been all of them but that one," Nick said as he pointed to a really tall slide.
"Well, you can go on that one alone because you aren't gonna get me on that one. That's too high for me."
"How bout it Rach?" Nick said gesturing to the slide.
Rachel shook her head. "No way."
"Man you mean to tell me I have to go up there by myself? I know Rok won't go up there with me," Nick whined.
"Well, you can go up there by yourself or not go on it at all. It's your choice," Kristin said.
"Okay, fine I'm going up there by myself," Nick said as he finished his sandwich and got up. "I'll see you guys when I get back."
"Wait," Kristin said as she got up.
"You changed your mind?" Nick said with hope.
"No," she said as she grabbed her camera. "I'm gonna take some pictures. I'll see you at the bottom," she said then gave him a kiss. Nick took off to get in line for the slide. Kristin looked over at Rachel and Brian who were feeding each other grapes. "You guys gonna come with me to watch Nick come down the slide?"
"Nah, we'll see you guys when you come back," Brian said.
"Okay," Kristin said as she went to the end of the slide.
Patiently she waited at the end of the slide for Nick. Adjusting her camera she could see at the top of the stairs already so she snapped a picture. He waved at her from the top and she waved back. Watching him sit down at the top of the slide and slowly lean back she waited for him to come down the slide. Kristin prepared her camera, but noticed her film was out so she quickly changed it. When she got the film in the camera she noticed a crowd of people standing around the pool at the end of the slide and three or four lifeguards. Suddenly in the pit of her stomach she felt that something was wrong. Pushing her way through the people she saw Nick laying on the side of the pool screaming in pain. Since there were too many people around she couldn't tell what was going on.
"Oh my god! Nick!" she screamed, shoving her way through the crowd. "Out of my way! Let me to him!" she shouted while pushing through. She got to the front of the crowd and noticed a large of amount of blood coming from his right leg. She ran over to him when a lifeguard stopped her. "No! Let me near him! That's my boyfriend!"
"Maam please calm down. We need room so we can get him on an ambulance and take him to the hospital."
"Hospital! What the hell happened up there?"
"We're not quite sure maam," the lifeguard said in a calm voice.
"You don't know? What do you mean you don't know?" Krisitn continued to shout.
Just then Rachel and Brian came running up to her. "What's going on? What happened?" Rachel asked.
"I don't know! He was just up there. . .and. . .and my film went out. . .and he. . . he. .oh my god!" Kristin sobbed.
Rachel pulled Kristin in to a hug. "He'll be okay. It's allright," Rachel said in a soothing voice. "Take a deep breath and calm down."
Brian, Kristin, and Rachel watched as the paramedics lifted Nick onto a stretcher and wheel him to a near by ambulance. Kristin ran up to one of the paramedics standing by the ambulance. "Could I go with him please? I'm his girlfriend." The paramedic nodded and Kristin got in.
"We'll meet you there," Rachel shouted to Kristin as she and Brian headed out to his BMW.
Kristin sat in the ambulance and looked down at Nick. He looked up at her and wiped the tear off her face then grabbed her hand. Kristin kissed his hand lightly and silently cried to herself. She couldn't bare to see him in such pain.
"It's okay. . .I'm all right," Nick whispered then passed out.
"Oh my god!" she screamed.
"It's all right maam. He didn't pass out, he's asleep from the IV we gave him. We needed to keep him still."
Kristin sighed in relief and sat back while the paramedics continued to work on him. They finally arrived at the hospital and they quickly rushed Nick to the emergancy room. Kristin watched as they wheeled him down the hall. Not sure what to do, she sat down in a chair in the hall and cried.

Chapter 30

A couple of hours have gone by since Nick was taken into the emergency room. Brian, Rachel, and Kristin waited patiently in the waiting room. Brian was slumped over in his chair with his hands over his face.
"You okay?" Rachel asked as she rubbed her hand on his back.
Brian nodded. "Yeah, I just hate the idea of my best friend being in pain."
"I know," Rachel said with sympathy and kissed him on the cheek.
Just then, a doctor came down the hall and stopped in front of them. "Are you the friends of Mr. Nick Carter?" he asked.
"Yes," Kristin said as she stood up. "How is he?"
"He's doing just fine. It seems that he sliced his leg open by a loose nail on the slide. We gave him some stitches so he should be fine."
"Can we see him?" Brian asked anxiously.
The doctor smiled. "Of course, he's in the last room down the hall."
The three of them walked down the hall and slowly opened the door to Nick's room. There he lay on the bed with his leg propped up and his eyes closed. Kristin walked over to his bed and sat down in the chair next to it. She grabbed his hand and Nick opened his eyes. He smiled at his first glimpse of her.
"Hey," he said in a hoarse whisper.
"Hey," Kristin said with a smile. "How are you feeling?"
"I've lost the feeling in my leg due to my foot being propped up like this. Other than that I'm fine," he said with a chuckle.
"Hey Frack," Brian said as he walked over to the foot of the bed.
"Hey Rok. Hey Rachel," he said in a groggy tone.
The doctor walked in with a clipboard in his hand. "I see you're still a little groggy form the IV we gave you. That will wear off soon. I'm gonna give you a prescription for the pain, but I advise you not to take it unless you absolutely have to. They're quite strong and can make you very drowsy."
"Doctor, we leave for an American tour in two days is Nick gonna be able to perform?" Brian asked.
"If he stays off his leg for a couple of days yes he will be able to. But I strongly suggest you get yourself some crutches to walk with and only stand on that leg when performing or rehearsing. The less you walk on it for a few days the better it will heal."
"Great, so when can I get out of here?" Nick asked while trying to sit up.
"Well, everything looks fine, no infections or anything of that sort. I'll send a nurse up here to take out your IV and after you pick up your prescription you can go on home."
"All right!" Nick said, then moved his leg. "Ow!" he shouted.
"That is why you need to stay off it for a few days," he said with a chuckle. "I'll get a nurse up here right away."
"Thanks doc," Brian said then looked over at Nick. "Well, I guess everything's okay here. Do you two mind if Rachel and I leave? I'm sure you two want to be alone."
"No go ahead. I can call a cab to take us to my place," Nick said.
"Are you sure?" Brian asked.
"Yeah, positive. You guys go have fun."
"Okay we'll see you two later," Brian said as he and Rachel left the room holding hands.
