My story: We adopted her from the SPCA in February 2000. She weighed 3 pounds and fit in one hand, but she was one handful!!! She just had been spayed so she had stiches and they could not get wet and as I said it was February, we all know it was wet and snowy. We bought these potty training papers, what a joke. She learned to go on them but she had bad aim. She would sniff and sniff the paper and then she would swing her behind on the floor but it was the cutest thing. We put newspaper around the papers and that worked and we would take her out once every two hours too as long as it wasn't raining or snowing.
She loves it outside too. She was another sick little animal we had. She had kennel cough and tonsilitis and she would cough that awful noise for 2 weeks. Then she was better, and we started socializing her with other dogs. She loved that. To this day there is not one dog she doesn't like. Some don't like her, but she loves them anyway. She wants to play with the cat, but the cat does not want to play with her. But the other day we did catch the cat batting her in the head to get the dog to chase her. She went to school at her groomers and learned very quickly. She is a very smart dog, but as all my animalsare, very spoiled. She is very human dependant and that can be aggravating, but we love her the same.
