Sundancers
- 3/4 c. flour (whole wheat, white or half and half)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. regular oats, uncooked
- 1 c. (4oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
Combine flour, soda and salt. Mix well and set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats, cheese, wheat germ and bacon. Drop dough by rounded tbsp. onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 16 minutes. Cool for 1 minute on baking sheets before removing.
