My story:
I was living on my own in an apartment complex when I saw what would be my new Mom and Dad. I had been greeting them almost everyday when the thunderstorm came. I looked around for a place to be dry, and I saw their car! So I got underneath, and went to sleep. Then I heard my new dad's voice, but I didn't want to come out in the rain. But he came close to the car, and I crawled out to see him. He took me up some stairs and inside a door, and it was dry! So I rubbed all over the carpet to get the wet off me, and they played with me. There was a cat there, too, and she hissed at me a lot and smacked me a few times, but I just wanted to play with her too.
Suddenly they took me back outside, and then we got in their car. When we stopped, Mom got out and went away for a little while, then came back and put a thing around my neck. They took me into the new building where there were a lot of people, but it was kinda dark. They took me through two doors, and then lifted me up and poured more water on me, and put some nasty smelling stuff on me! Then they dried me off, and we wlked around the big building. They put a different thing around my neck (which I found out was a collar), and attached another thing to it (which I found out was a leash), and they were carrying a lot of stuff when we finally left.
When we got back to their building, the put down a bowl with some food in it! I ate and drank, and played, and was dry and warm. The cat still hissed and smacked me, but I hoped she would stop soon.
A few days later, Mom took me back to the big building, and the man there stuck me with something, and scraped my leg with something hard. I heard him say 'Mange' and then he gave me another shot. Ouch!
But now, even through all that, I love my new Mom and Dad. I always have food, and Mom takes me to that building, which I found out is her work, and I get to play with other dogs, and people pet me, and say how pretty I am. And all the other people that work with Mom give me treats, and make me do tricks, but I don't mind.
And the cat, who's name is Phantom, finally plays with me! Sometimes I chase her, and sometimes she chases me. She says I'm not bad for a dog.
See more wonderful pictures of me here!
(Mom's always taking pictures of me, but I'd rather just go lick her!)
If you would like to talk to me, or if you would like to have a spot in the Gallery, leave my Mom, Kat mail, and she will take care of it (My Mom is soooo smart!).
