| Ashitaka is the young prince of a small village inhabited by a people called the Emishi. When he kills a possessed boar god in order to save his village, a curse is placed upon him; one that will eventually seal his death. He is forced to cut his long hair, and leave his home without ever being able to return, in hopes of locating the Forest Spirit who can cure his ailment. | |||||||||
