Currently in Incheon, South Korea, a new master plan to build the world¡¯s largest private development project is scheduled to initiate. This titanic plan is predicted to be built connected to the Incheon International Airport and only 40 miles away from Seoul, the capital city. Taking up over 1,500 acres of land, this ¡°city¡± will comprise of a 100-acre Central Park, International Hospital, Ecotarium, Museum, and a new Songdo International School. This new utopia will become the center of Korea¡¯s economic growth and set a higher and awe worthy image for South Korea.
The new Songdo International School will accommodate more than 2,100 students ranging from kindergarten to grade 12. This new school that will be run by Harvard¡¯s Education Policy will hire world class teachers to educate the children residing in the Songdo City. The school even expects to accept and train students from over 50 different countries.
As I read through the descriptions of the new Songdo City, I was only able to spot positive benefits for this proposal. Despite the fact that a sum of $20 billion would be expended to make the project a reality, this opportunity to greater the growth and image of Korea above any other neighboring Asian countries is a chance that should not be missed. Another inspiring fact is that the design and layout of Songdo City is assured to be an attractive and eye-catching work of art. The lead architect Jamie Von Klemperer simply said. ¡°It¡¯s as if you had a rich history of architects , planners, and thinkers, each adding something.
In conclusion, I full heartedly think that there really shouldn¡¯t be any opposition in the construction of the project. The completion of the new Songdo City will represent and signify the factual power and strength of Korea.
