Initial D-

Although I am only up to episode 12 of these series, I feel the urge to write about this anime and let you all in on its potential,

This anime is about street racing and so much more. The main character Takumi(Tak) is an awesome street racer but doesn't know it, he gets his skill from his frequent driving of Mt.Akina(where the races so far take place), he drives there so regularly because his father owns a tofu shop, and Tak delivers, but for the majority of Taks driving career he has been driving illegally. So he has to drive early mornings, with such lack of sleep Tak wants to get home ASAP so he can make get some sleep at least. Tak's best friend, Itsuki, is a try-hard street racer, and desperately wants to get into the racing team the Akina Speedstars. Tak, Itsuki and the leader of the Speedstars work at the same servo and are friendly. As I am reviewing an entire 12 episodes, I am trying to keep this relatively short. So I will have to skip parts On Saturday nights street racing is held on Mt. Akina, until the early morning of Sunday. After the final race of the night the 2nd best driver of the Akagi Redsuns is on his way down the Mt. he chances to see Tak's beat up old 86(a very low rated car, old too) and they race down the mountain, I wont spoil what happens. But this is the first of many races in the series, a good feature of this anime is it is never boring or repetitive I say this and I am not even into cars very much. It is never dull and a very entertaining anime, I give it 9/10 only because I have seen better drawing (kenshin^^)
